Hey everyone, I'm getting ready to upgrade the mail for my costume/kit and need some input. The look I'm going for is about 1360-1380 Scotland/England, planning on maille under a coat of plates for the torso. I had done quite a bit of research several years ago but now can't find my notes. :(
So my question is, what kind of maille should I be looking for? Round rings, alternating round and flat? All riveted or alternating riveted and solid? I don't need it to be 100% accurate, but since the options are out there I may as well take advantage of it.
Thanks in advance,
Alan
At that time, almost all versions would be available, all wedge riveted, half solid, half wedge riveted and half solid half round riveted. I think only all round riveted is not an option, but I could be wrong. Both kind of rivets could be found on both round and flat rings. Solids would be flat of course.

Nice, thanks for correction. Would these be welded?

Luka, I would think that the round, solid links would have to be welded. Here is another example, the Sinigaglia hauberk.
