Are there any better photos of Tutankhamun's armour? The only image I have been able to find is the pictures took during the 20s when his tomb was open.

Tom Hulit examined it for his thesis but, by the time he got his hands on it, the Egyptians had managed to lose most of it and allowed the rest to deteriorate beyond recognition. His paper has photos and illustrations of what was left.

If you can't find the original paper then a summary of his work is in my book

Issac, a larger picture I think and some written details and drawings of the scales.
Here is a link to some excellent pictures from when the tomb was first being discovered.

Egyptian tomb painting which appears to be a type of armor made from scales.

Todd Feinman made a very good reconstruction of Egyptian hide scale armour for Mike Loades.

Todd is a member here and probably knows more than most about this armour. If you are planning to make a reconstruction then he would be the man to talk to.

Thank you guys very much for the information. It is sad that the armour is destroyed, but the drawings and tomb painting really help.
The tomb painting won't really help you make a reconstruction. The sleeves can't be attached like that and the neck isn't right. Todd can tell you how to do it properly.
