Re-tailoring mail haubergeon
Hello,

Few time ago I started a project on retailoring mail haubergeon using historically accurate pattern.
I'm using techniques described and documented in the articles about mail objects by E. Martin Burges.
Images of the finished work so far you can find on my FB page : https://www.facebook.com/artifexmediaevalis/
Here is the current stage I'm at the moment - front and back panels were re-shaped and formed similarly to the Wallace collection haubergeon and assembled.
Skirt - re-tailored and assembled.Empty rings need to be riveted.
"Shifting rows" technique - done.
Sleeves - re-tailored and attached to the torso.
Next step - filling the armpit area with rows and forming the sleeve tapering down to the elbow.

When I'm done with the next step I'll post pictures for sure.
Progress on the sleeves.
Triangular pieces were added and sewn to the armpit.
Tailoring technique itself is similar to one that was used on M15 sleeve armpit from Allen Antiques : http://www.allenantiques.com/M-15.html

Some bad images with my phone camera. Not very experinced with the selfies.
Tailored sleeves and ready for the next step in this project - skirt - filling the "empty" rings with rivets and attaching it to the waist.
