GDFB polearm + weapons
Has anyone had any experience with GDFB weapons? I am looking for decent polearms and i came across this voulge that has really taken my interest.

Is this a decent polearm for re-enactment and for some back yard cutting? And how exactly would this be mounted onto a haft?

Also could anyone vouch for any of their other weapons? Maybe this mace.

(Believe me i expect the mace to either crumple or shatter but it looks like it would hold up fine against watermelons)

I haven't held one of them yet.
Speaking of that mace, a single blow can shatter a watermelon but the weapon itself won't.

Pretty much like the picture in the 1st link: put the haft through the loops and nail/rivet. And, like the picture in the 2nd link, you can have a square or octagonal haft with the end rounded to go through the loops. A tight fit is good.

I have their poleaxe and German halberd. OK for the price. Some rather rough welds on the inside of the sockets, which weren't cleaned up properly.

This is actually a Halberd? It looks more like the Voulge ...

I have that, and it is really heavy. I sharpened mine and cut some mats and bottles with it. I have a funny video of a friend cutting with mine that I haven't uploaded on youtube yet.

Just a little FYI. The first two links are from a different manufacturer than the third link.
Thanks I didn't notice the rivets/nails in the first link. And someone else said that the first two links are different manufacturers. I believe the first and second are different but from what I know the first and third link are the same manufacturer. Or am I missing something? [/quote]
I looked over them again and the first and third link are different manufacturers. There are two GDFB companies. Long story... Anyway, the second link is unknown as to the manufacturer.
