i wanted to share the story of this Sword,it has taken me a year and a half to complete, with the help of Mick Maxen for the exquisite seven bar pattern welded billet.This is my most ambitious work to mark 25 years as a working Swordsmith.

Now that is impressive! Do you have any pictures of the sword / scabbard from far enough away as to make them visible in their entirety ?

That is an incredible piece of work! I love all the details on the hilt, just stunning. Your work is always incredible and this is something to be especially proud of.

I'm generally a fan of austere weapons, but this piece of work is astonishing. It should be on display in a public art gallery.

I have long followed Castle Keep and thought that maybe I might, some day, manage to get a custom-made sgian-dubh for Highland dress wear but this is just jaw-dropping; a truly beautiful piece of the swordsmith's craft and art. The pattern-weld of the blade is equally impressive and perfectly complements the style, detail and artistry of the finished sword and accoutrements.

I think you can safely say that what you have achieved more than meets your stated aim of creating a "masterpiece." It truly deserves to be displayed somewhere prominent and the British Museum sounds about right to me!
