Swords cross-section typology project
I`m working on typology of medieval swords cross-sections.
this is second and more completed version of the cross-section scheme - upgraded.
I have added periods for each type, numbers and few new types (for example - type 8 - very important)... still working with this.
on my website will be soon ann article about this - with sample swords for every type.

BLACK cross-sections shows the part of the blade near the crossguard.
GRAY cross-sections inside shows the part of the blade near the point.

(number 4 is missing here because still need research...)

I want to ask you about your opinion and suggestions about this project. or maybe you see some mistakes with the English :) - just tell me. Thanks!

You seem to be missing your #4 entry? Other than that, nice work :)
Thanks Maciej, that's very cool.

For diamond I would say definitely 14th c, likely late 13th.

I did not know hexagonal started so early; can you comment on that?
