Midwest Armour Guild Session - 2005
This is NOT going to be an "armour-in"... this is an ORGANIZED and SERIOUS
function designed to teach and network like-minded individuals.

We are gearing towards a small hands-on conference-like environment.

Come play with professional COAL forges...

Learn and discuss with the professional blacksmiths...

See the arming of a complete 16th century garniture...

MEET lots of people with the same interests that you have...

See leatherworking techniques demonstrated by a professional leatherworker...

Put your hands on REAL AUTHENTIC "HONEST TO GOODNESS" armour, mail and
antiquities! Plus accurate reproductions of various timeframes...

Browse through HUNDREDS and HUNDREDS of products, hammers, swages, rivets,
and just about anything else (the anvils... OOOHH! The anvils....) your
twisted little metalworking mind can think of!

We have gone to GREAT lengths to bring all of this together! DO NOT MISS
this opportunity! Join us and people who are travelling a significant
distance in order to bring you a once in a lifetime (well, not if I have
my say about it) opportunity!

Bask in our hard work and the generosity of others... this is an event NOT
to be missed! You definitely don't want to be on the "OOH, you should have
been there" end of this stick.

COME JOIN US FOR LOADS OF FUN!
Dan,
Do you have any links people can click on for more information?
Where? When? How much?

The only cost is $5.00 to cover expenses
We are getting an excellent response to this. Because so many people have indicated they will be attending we have set up a pregistration site. Centaur Forge can only comfortable accomodate 70 people so first registered first served

Just to keep it at the top for stragglers :-)
How much authentic armor will be displayed here?
I'll be bringing the authentic armour in my collection. It consists of about 30-50 pieces. I will also have some authentic tools and other items of interest to the armouring world such as buckles and some weapons.

I won't be bringing the whole traveling museum and am just focussing on items of interest for this demographic. I will not be bringing medieval textiles, or personal items or anyting like that unless someone had a particular request.
now Doug that is really neat. I will check with the wife about that day and hope I can come
thanks
I hope you can make it. Just so we're clear not all of the pieces in my collection are great. Many of them are incomplete. Some of them are just single parts from a larger piecs. All of them have htings they can teach us about real armour though.,
We are getting closer. I hope to meet many of you there. !
