Just came in my new shield boss and handle from Jeffrey. A really beauty. It isn't like my other from him, the Bidford-on-Avon find, but it has its beauty in form and function. It was shown before, but was waiting for the handle for delivery.

Very cool! I remember seeing some of the earlier photos I think. I guess this style of boss takes quite a bit of skill to form; the end result is very well done. Will you be making a shield yourself?

I think I will attempt the shield myself next year. I 've never done it before, but since It will be mostly for display, I might be able to swing it.
