I saw that MRL had this on Last Chance,
http://www.museumreplicas.com/p-1254-sword-of-robin-hood.aspx
and picked one up for a rework. It balances about 5 inches in front of the hilt. I'm thinking of cutting about 5 or 5 1/2 inches off the blade, filing the cross of the pommel, and of course putting a new handle on it. What's everyone's thoughts on this? Have any of you re-worked one of these blades? How'd it turn out?
I bought the Godfrey sword during deal of the day with the intend of reworking it.
The blade on that is really nice and it has some real potential.
How is the blade on the Robin sword?

Hi Jereon! I think they use the same blade. Mine has some good springiness to it. I think if I bob the tip of the blade, and with a little file work, it'll come out being rather like the blade on my Tinker-Hanwei Norman sword.
The Godfrey sword is a bit blade heavy so i was thinking about making a new crossguard and shift it up a couple of centimeters so i can peen the pommel.
Maybe even make a new pommel with a bit more weigth to better the balance.
