I was commissioned to make a scabbard for an Albion Knecht and here is the result.
I based it on the woodcut below, taken from another thread here about scabbards suitable for the Knecht.
The core is poplar, and in this case is fabric covered and then leather covered. The riser is formed out of wood and makes a nice positive stop.
What is notable is the difference is suspension from most other scabbards in that it is on a single belt that passes through a woven section of leather strapping. This style of suspension is very German early 16thC.
