I'm really into this sword I found of Sword-Site that belonged to Stephen the Great. So far I've combed their catalogue but it seems like there aren't any other swords quite like it in the collection, this looks like one of those high end historical swords that didn't have many contemporaries.
Have you guys seen any similar pieces in the archaeological record? If so can you point me in their direction?
Wow, now that's a lot of fullers...
Whoa, that's a lot of sword and in superb condition. Good find.
It looks like an XIIA to me.

Now I see. So that's how the sword of Stephen III looks like. It must be kind of heavy judging by its long hilt.
On Sword-Site is included two lengthy extracts regarding the sword, it's an interesting read.

Sword-Site have designated it as an Oakeshott Type XIIa.
Amongst extant historical swords it seems to be unique, at least amongst published examples - I've looked and looked but there doesn't seem to be another quite like it out there. If anyone comes across one please do let me know!

It's classified as a type XX in "Medieval Swords From Southeastern Europe" by Marko Aleksic... with the multiple fullering this does seem a better fit to me than XIIa. The blade is 102.3 cm long, for a total length of 129.5 cm.
