Here is my latest project built for an Albion SL Clontarf.
Poplar core, sandwich method, planks planed down to a fairly thin cross section
Wool felt lined
Stitched and glued
Chape (harvested from an H/T viking scabbard)
Bridge carved from a piece of maple, finished with mineral oil buffed in
Baldric is a piece of 9-10 oz leather, finished with oil and a top coat.
Excellent work, Bryan. Not over-the-top, which unfortunately is all too common.
Thanks for the pics.

Nice work Bryan. As Jon said, not over the top.
Raisers, seam, bridge, straps...everything is done with obvious care and a steady hand. Well done Bryan, the results speak for themselves.
I would not hesitate to rewrap the sword with a matching grip color though, a good opportunity to add raisers and cord inprints too.
PS: please get a bucle worthy of this fine scabbard :)

:D ...I know..I know...
Thanks all for the kind words.
I think I made my first scabbard about 8-9 months ago, and have since made 5 more. I enjoy it quite a lot.
