Szymon Chlebowski?

Here is his website, anyone delt with this maker? The stats of his weapons look extremely well researched, and his prices sound too good to be true. He may get my tax refund, what say you?
He makes very nice stuff, but expect to wait as he tends to run quite late with the orders. He's pretty busy on the European HEMA circuit and he's definitely a P-Time person.
Thanks for the feedback. I had to look up P-time, never heard the term before, but I've sure encountered it a few times! Good to go in with eyes open. :D
I have second sword from him and I am very pleased. Swords are lightweight and fast, (producer fights himself so he knows what is needed in combat). Disadvantage of his swords is soft, jagged steel. Usually you must wait longer than initially announced manufacturer. But the blades are covered by a 2 year warranty against breakage, so his swords are worth the money.

And upon first glance his grip wraps look pretty bad.

Jon
It may look bad but are comfortable. Besides, you can always replace them by yourself.
The wraps on a trainer don't matter much to me, it will have to be redone in a year or two anyway. But the steel treatment has to be right.

Is the soft steel based on your experience with a single trainer, or a trend noticed in several weapons? And when you say jagged, I assume you mean after some bouting, as a result of the softer steel, and not that they arrive like that?

Found this review, looks like the soft blade was a mistake in heat treat, and (eventually) the sword was replaced.
Matthew of course swords come smooth from the producer, but burrs / pits do easily with bad blocks. (sorry for my english).
However, compared to other manufacturers producing on the Polish market for this price you get a good forged sword, not a machine-cut flat bar.
I ordered two swords from him in February of 2012. He said he would finish them by June. June came and went with no word from him. I contacted him several times after this to enquire about when my swords would be finished, and every time he gave me a new delivery date until he was about 16 months late when I finally gave up and cancelled my order.
I have amazing dagger from Szymon. I needed a knife for "medieval survival". Szymon made for me very sharp and resistant dagger. But Szymon have one problem - terms and punctuality.
