Hi everyone. I have a bit of a research problem and I hope that I can find my answers here.
I recently purchased the old and out of production Armored Knight Series suits of armor made by Imai. I would like to paint these six models as accurately as possible, however I am having difficulty finding color photos of four of the six suits.
According to the box all of the suits are on display at the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna, but their website does not show any of them.
I am looking for color photos of the following suits of armor:
Archduke Ferdinand II 1529-1595
Emperor Maximilian II 1527-1576
Count Philipp von Hessen 1504-1567
Elector Otto Heinrich 1502-1559
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks, Paul

Thanks Mart!!!!
How do I determine who the armor belonged to as when I go to the link it doesn't say?
Thanks, Paul

Thanks Raman!
Carl's site does have a wonderful image collection from a number of museums.
The Maximilian II blue & gold garniture (p.10) has all sorts of detail which simply can't be realistically placed on a 6" model.

His best image of the Ferdinand II tonlet armor from p.11:

Perhaps a 000 brush will allow you to paint in the red leather picadills around the pauldrons?
The Philipp I, Count of Hessen armor (A 348, dated to 1534) is on Carl's p.17:

I suspect the blackened bands were more pronounced when new.
I may have missed the Pfalzgraf's armor, since all the fluted suits start to look the same to my tired old eyes! If there is a note in the model instructions as to inventory number, it might help.

Thanks everyone for the help. I have been able to get them all but one.
I still cannot find a photo of the armor of Elector Otto Heinrich which is supposed to be in the Kunsthistorisches Museum . I even found a video walk through on YouTube but his armor was nowhere to be seen. Does anyone have anything on it?
Thanks again,
Paul

Thanks for bumping the topic as a reminder. :) It's A239, made for a much more slender Otto Heinrich when he was 16 years of age. The blackened banding is somewhat visible in the overall photo:

Thanks again Mart! Now I have everything I need to get started. Will post photos when finished.
