I have as way of an introduction these two seaxs I recently finished. Both blades were welded up and forged out as demonstrations at the Brookfield craft center (now closed) were I was teaching bladesmithing. and both knives were part of my display in the Guilford arts center Art of the Knife show.
First is a broken back seax, the blade is the same mix as the long seax, the fittings are sterling silver with a nickel plated ball in he middle (not prone to tarnishing) the grip is carved moose antler.
Second is a long seax the steels are 1084 15n20 and 4340 with a edge of L6 and 1095 the fittings are brass, the grip is moose antler, and curly maple

Beautiful.............Simply beautiful. Speechless now......McM
Very well done. ;)
Very nice. I particularly like the broken back saex. Your work on the grip is quite eye catching
Gorgeous! I really like the broken back. The grip is cool.
Both are stunning and anyone would be proud to own either.
Love the patterns on the blades.
Wow, I gotta say I am impressed by those!
I especially like the second one, with the "butterfly antennae" pommel!

Thank you all for your kind words.
I should also mention that both Seaxs are still in need of sheaths but are available for sale.
