What is the tang on the Hanwei Song sword like?Is it a so called "full tang"?The only tang on a Hanwei sword i`ve ever seen was on a Cromwell and it was rather thin.Anybody own one?Thanks in advance

I've asked the same question on a number of different Hanwei swords. In my experience, I've only seen the tang on three or four different models. I'd love to see what's under the grip! Not that I'm worried, mind you. I just put my Hanwei/PC claymore through the wall of a house I'm tearing down. If it could talk...."Is thot all ye got, Laddie? Please, sir, may I have s' more?" :lol: .......I have no doubt that the tang on your Song is quite sufficient. Best wishes....McM

While I haven't seen the sword you mention, I've owned three of the Hanwei/Tinker swords, and all three had nice, thick, beefy tangs.

I've looked at that Chinese sword, too, Double-K ... and maybe like you I'm drawn to the
shape and design of the blade, not to mention what appears to be an attractively detailed
scabbard. It appeals to the saberesque tastes I've developed over the last half-dozen
years ...

But have you taken the time to look at the Chinese swords offered by Dynasty Forge ?
The blade shapes are not like the Song. But I own a Dynasty Forge Japanese-style
blade; which was taken apart and examined by craftsman, may he rest in peace,
Henry Ahmu who praised the blade's construction. I'd like to believe their other
offerings are likely just as well made ...

Not to mention half-the-price of even the previously owned Song Sword at KoA ...

Tinker /Hanwei swords have a very different build than many swords sold by Hanwei/CAS.

Some of them three piece sword arrangements with a stub tang, middle and welded rod.
