Hi folks! I am hoping I am placing my question in the right forum.
My friend purchased a really unusual Axe with the dagger hidden in the handle. While the Axe appears to be a decorative item, a dagger can be used as a weapon.
Any help with identification /origin / age is really appreciated.

Persian in style. Could be old, or could be a modern replica or fake - from the photos, could be either. "Old" could still mean as young as late 19th century. The ornamented blade on the dagger makes me think it's modern.
Can be googled as: Indo-Persian Battle (War) Axe.
Modern piece, mind the tight even screw at the dagger's grip, and the spike blade. Still, a nice hand made item.
Thank you very much for replies
I found a similar Axe (different decorative design)- title Indo-Persian Battle Ax with Hidden Dagger; stated to be from the late 18th or early 19th century.

Do you think my friend's axe is from the same period?
