Hello everyone!

my name is Joey Nitti, and I decided to make an account here. I study and practice historical european martial arts (primarily german longsword) with Craig Shackleton, and I have dabbled in some armour-making.

Those are old pics though, and I have since replaced the silly bright yellow cord with leather lace wrapped on the grip. It is about 11" diameter, 16G mild steel, and somewhere around a kilo (IIRC)

I am currently working on a greathelm, and going to start some rivetted mail as soon as I get something to punch/drift the rivet holes small enough (the smallest bit on my hand-punch is 3/32", and I need 1/16")
