i have a long patternwelded seax in the making so i thought i would post pictures from the process
i learned not to be attached to blade until heat treat is done, so no pictures before that step now
here is the blade after etch. its four bars construction
wrought iron nack, then 9 layers interupted twist. wrought iron and then steel with spontaneously formed hamon

handle is started, the runes on the ring say GULLI ME THORTE, traditional sentence Gulli made me

the lenght of the blade is 49 cm and over all lenght is around 70 cm
(will meassure as soon as scabbard leather dries out

The proportion, as others have said, is great and crates a very harmonious form.

The OAL is 70 cm exactly, the blade being 49 cm.
