I agree and each pic viewed in sequence was better and better: The blade looks rich in contrasting pattern and textures.
What type of wood did you use for the handle ? Just curious as it has a nice warm feel.
its lightly stained boxwood

Very, very nice. Good proportions and overall feel. Nice to see a narrower, longer seax
That is a very fine seax Petr, very fine indeed. Lovely blade and proportions spot on.
This is a beautiful seax Petr,
What date would you give this fine piece?
The proportion, as others have said, is great and crates a very harmonious form.

very nice work love the carvings and the iron between the twist and the edge gives a beautiful look to the blade
Jeremy: i would date it to -1000 years, just the dawn od 11.century, home of ringerike style
Exceptional, Petr. I always enjoy seeing your work at this forum. Thanks for showing us & keep them coming.

The OAL is 70 cm exactly, the blade being 49 cm.
Petr,
Your new blade is outstanding, but I am always impressed by your carving and leather work.
