Hello,
I've recently become enamoured with the hats shown in Alfieri's work on the spadone from the 1650's, and I am interested in getting one made for myself. Does anyone here know of an online shop where I can order one? Preferably in Europe. I've made some searches of my own but I haven't found anything suitable outside of the States.
Here are a couple of pictures from Alfieri's text that shows the kind of hat I'm talking about:

Thanks!
I would check out:

Or find a real hat-maker (some still exist) to make you one. Or you could contact the costume-department of any institutional theater and try to be friendly with the people there. They ususally have loads of this stuff

Emil,
The 1650's is a massive area of reenactment in the UK and though not my period they will be easy to find here.
Try Tom Norbury, dealer in hatts (sic) dealerinhatts@freenet.co.uk
