Hi all. On Wednesday I am going to the Cluny museum in Paris to see the sword exhibit before it ends. I know a lot of people have already been there and have posted a large amount of photo's already. But, if you have any specific requests left, then post them here (or PM me) and I'll try to take them.

My vacation address is somewhere in the middle of nowhere in a swamp in Normandy (which is great!) without internet or even a phone. So, I can only access the internet at the McDonalds here. I'll check back tomorrow afternoon for requests (CET, say, about 24 hours after posting this). I'm afraid I won't be able to read anything posted later, as I have to catch a very early train to Paris Wendesday morning.

Thinling that it's just 2 hours of eurostar away from me and I won't make it...

If you could get some multi angles shots of the Charlemagne sword hilt that would be great (bottom view of the guard would be especially nice).

There's a beautiful falchion there with an ornately decorated wheel pommel that I'd love to see.

Please, please get some more shots of this sword including the blade! Some full length stuff would be great. If there are any blade inscriptions, some detail shots of those would be fantastic. Any close ups of the hilt inlay would be outstanding too! Especially the other side if possible... Anything you post will be appreciated! Thanks for asking!!!

Hi Sander, this may seem odd, but please take some detail photos of that 15th century steel clock mechanism. It's at head height on the early right wall in the room before the medieval swords and armour, unless they moved it from last year.

And don't forget to enjoy yourself while there. It's compact and crowded at times, but turned out to be one of my all time favorite museums. Things not to miss, apart from armour and swords. That clock, the virtual electronic fencing manual, the Green man in the roman bath exhibit, the relic boxes, and of course the famous wall hangings with the unicorn. You can spend all day in there really. Have a good one. ;)

I'm on my way back from Paris. The museum was fantastic, but I feel deeply for the rusted albion sword on display for people to touch. I managed to take photos of all requested objects except the clock. I couldn't find it, but they may have shuffled things around for the sword exhibit.

I will post all pictures online when I get back from vacation in a few days. I hope they turned out okay. I had some trouble with my auto-focussing camera to focus on the objects instead of the glass or a random reflection.

I hope they are good enough. As I said, I had some trouble with my autofocus on my camera (and no way to turn it off). Some of the pictures may also be fuzzy. I haven't had time yet to filter out the melons. I just uploaded everything. Apologies if it loads a bit slow. I'm hosting these from my home server instead of my regular webserver in Amsterdam.

@Fabrice, I can understand that :) Any idea what will become of the sword? Will it get a nice place in the museum? Does it go back to Albion?
