That's a gorgeous scabbard. I love how different it is from the rest of the next gen scabbards so far. Just a suggestion, but you guys should have a picture of someone wearing each of the scabbards, like you did with this one. That's a nice touch. Helps to show how the suspension works and the angle that it hangs at.

Ever since I came home I've been looking at my collection and thinking that I need scabbards for all of them. You're not helping me build up the sword collection itself! :lol:

I know the feeling. I'm building my sword collection, but I'm going to have to break down and order an Albion scabbard for one of them. I love the interlace work on the early Medieval scabbards.

If I can afford the Sword of St Maurice when it comes out, I'll be ordering a scabbard for it. Since you were at Albion Swordfest, Patrick, any info on the SoSM?

I did see Peter's drawing and the specs for the SoSM, as well as the waxes for the hilt components. I'm sure that when the sword is completed it will be very nice, it will also feature the same blade engravings as the original.

The only concern I have with this sword is that people may not be aware of it's proportions. The SoSM is a large single handed sword. I don't believe that it will be a really quick or nimble sword. It is instead meant to deliver large sweeping blows from horseback. I really put it into the same class as the Tritonia. It's not the same design, of course, but it is still a large sword designed around the concept of cavalry warfare. As long as people keep that in mind I think they'll be very happy with it.

Nice to hear the waxes are made. I only hope the cost can be kept at a level similar to the Museum Line.
