Hello, does any one know where to buy an original British 1796 light cavalry sabre?
Jonah,
Antique dealers and eBay. myArmoury has a list of antique dealers in the links section: http://www.myArmoury.com/links.html I am sure you can find one for sale on at least one of these sites. Have you done much reading on the sword? Have you researched the market at all to become familiar with fakes or other swords that might be mistaken for a British P1796 LC sword? Do you want a trooper's sword or an officer's sword? I think it is a good idea do do some research before buying an antique. Searching this site and www.swordforum.com will be very useful. For more scholarly information on the pattern you may wish to read some of the excellent articles at www.swordsandpistols.co.uk .
