Just finished this pair of daggers. Both have steel hilts and aluminum blades. Thought i'd try some techniques I haven't tried before. Making the grooved pommel was actually easier than I thought it would be. Still a long way to go in terms of clean and even shaping, but not bad for a start. Much more difficult than expected was lathing two matching quillons. I do lots of freehand lathing of curves, but I've never had to make two just the same.
