Finally my long avaited basket hilt is ready and hopefully should be in my hands in a week.

Weight about 1,1 kg , blade 89 cm long, basket hilt customized to my hand size, complete with scabbard (not pictured)

i have asked Iain at armour class for a fencing version or the sword, the blade is not a replica of the original but overall i think that it capture very well the appearence ot that famous basket hilt. of course it is not intended to be an high end replica but in my opinion is even too nice for a practice weapon. more comments to follow.
