Hi,
I already saw some nice looking helmet crests on the other topics and I would like to see more of them. I also intend to make my own crest, so any tips on how to make them are welcome.

I made it by sewing 4 bits of leather into a grenade shape and then glueing on scalloped leather rings with hide glue for the feathers. It was covered with a layer of gesso and acrylic paint. Here's a picture of the half finished product:

Here's mine. It's made from a cellulose clay over a cardboard skeleton. Very light, very strong. Attached with rare earth magnets epoxied to the underside.
