I am a fan of the Chronicles of Narnia movies. A new episode will be in theaters soon and I was wondering if "Peter's Sword" will be available again.

I am refering to a licensed steel reproduction with an etched phrase, a lion head pommel, and a wall plaque to hang it on.

Just curious. K.O.A. does not have it anymore. They used to. Only an unlicensed version is listed.

I really like this piece. The Narnia books and early Narnia movies from my childhood probably contributed greatly to my love for swords. I have for a long time wanted to re-hilt a good quality type XIIa blade with those fittings.

Jeffrey Robinson created a real sword with cast bronze parts and a blade from Albion.

He is a realy great guy and his quality is top notch (I own some swords made from him).

His work is priecy but is worth every cent. Dont bother with replicas and wallhangers if you can go for the real deal ;-)

Very true of coarse. I'm making the assumption that its brass just based on the coloring, the price point of the sword, and previous experience with similarly priced items. I could be totally off, and if that the case it wouldn't be possible to do what i proposed.

Christian, interesting piece. I'm not particularly fond of the guard however. One of the attributes I like about the movie sword is the coupling of a fairly simple steel guard and blade with a more ornate pommel.

Someday. when money available for such a thing, it would be worth it to me have Lundemo or someone make something similar.

I bought one of the original Peter Swords for my youngest son. The guard and pommel are/were both steel, with the pommel being plated. I was actually impressed by the overall quality of the piece for the price.

Hi Dustin, I believe the pommel is gold plated brass and screws onto the tang. The cross is nickle plated steel and the grip core is plastic. Personally, I find the blade rather whippy, but it's a windlass made carbon steel blade, so at least it's better than many stainless steel SLO movie replicas. I hope this helps,
