Hey everyone,
Just wanted to share some photos of a custom piece that Craig and the team at Arms & Armor created for me.
They designed the piece according to a laundry list of "wants" from me, including blade length and type, pommel shape and a VERY specific hilt.
The other challenge for them was my timeline -- I originally contacted them in February of this year (not even 8 months back) and wanted to use the piece as part of my upcoming wedding ceremony (two weeks from now).
I am thrilled with the results! Not only is the sword (and matching scabbard) truly a work of art, Craig also managed to manufacture 4 matching dirks as groomsmen's gifts at the last minute (literally only a month's notice!)
I just wanted to say a big thank you to Craig and the team at Arms & Armor for creating such a beautiful heritage piece for my wife-to-be and I. Rest assured that it will NOT be the last!
Photos? Look below!

That is a really a handsome looking sword and the dagger is really nice too.
A pic of the whole blade would be nice too see also if possible.

I will grab a nice photo of it full length as soon as my (very small) home recovers from the wedding prep and I've got some room to spread out. Until then, here's a photo Craig took for me before it shipped. Enjoy!

Geordan -
I like your design and by the looks of it, A&A created a great end-product. I love seeing their custom work and am pleased to hear about them meeting your expectations and delivering everything within your time frame. Great job to them... lucky you!

Those are beautiful, Geordan! Congratulations on both the fine weapons and the wedding!
Amazing! Beautiful piece. Are the hilt fittings bronze, or copper anodized? I have a couple of sculptural pieces that are copper anodized and have a very similar look. One of my favorite metal finishes.
Congratulations on your upcoming nuptials. May you be blessed with many wonderful years of joy and love.

Wow! That sword is incredible. The quality and attention to detail of the work coming out of A&A just keeps getting better and better.
And congratulations on the wedding.
And congratulations on the wedding.
Many congrats on the upcoming wedding geordan and on the new steel as well, you said it needed to be ready for your wedding day will it be involved in the ceremony in some way?
Congrats on your upcoming wedding and on a beautiful sword!!
I've always known A&A by their reputation for the production swords they offer but now I see that they are also a top-of-the-line custom shop! The number of incredible customs I've seen in the past year or so is amazing.

Hey guys!
Thanks for the kind words! I thought I'd swing by and answer the questions:
Victor - The fittings are actually steel that was to be blued. The process didn't go as planned, but in order to have it in time for the wedding, Craig sent it up to me for the event and it will make its way back to them briefly to finish it up. In the end, the fittings will be a true blue/black colour.
Stephen - Thanks for asking! We will be cutting the cake military-style with the sword as husband and wife -- our cake is actually being made specifically for the purpose. I will share photos after the wedding!
Thanks everyone for your well wishes and congrats; 11 days until the big day! Until then I'm going to keep oiling my new sword and praying :)

I actually prefer the current finish!
just look at that grip, GORGEOUS! every time I see work by A&A I can't help but think "I'd like to get something from them" maybe someday I will.
congrats on the wedding I too wish you and your intended great happiness.
cutting the cake with your sword is just too cool but make sure you get the oil off it before you do.

That's terrific, the A&A boys have done it again.
But seriously, I must know - how do you intend to incorporate this into the ceremony? And your fiance is cool with all this?
By the way, where do you plan to get married - Casa Loma seems appropriate!
