European swords and daggers: Medieval to Modern Seminar
Just a heads up for fellow forumites in the UK or who will be in the UK in the next few weeks.

The Royal Armouries Museum at Leeds is hosting a seminar on Saturday 13 November entitled European swords and daggers: Medieval to Modern

Quote:
Of all the weapons created the sword and dagger have had the longest period of use and have played an important role in European history and culture. From seax to schiavona discover at first hand the diversity of European edged weapons. This seminar will give an overview of the development of swords and daggers and a rare chance to handle some of the most beautifully designed edged weapons in our collection.

The seminar is £30 a place and places are limited, but they were still available this week when I booked mine.

It runs from 10:00 - 16:00

A bump for this as the Royal Armouries asked me to 'spread the word' about these seminars.

David, I hope to see you there if we make it through passport control on the Yorkshire border ;)

Don't worry I've smuggled myself into Yorkshire on numerous occasions; just make sure you know the words to On Ilkla Moor Baht 'at :)

I'm really looking forward to this, see you in Leeds!
