Need help to identify My armour breastplate.
Hello. I am new to collecting Armour. I just bought this from an online auction and I was wondering if some one could help me to identify it. I do not know if it is real or not. I also am not sure when it was made. I thank you for any help that you can give me.

What is is made of? Some sort of iron, or copper?
I am not to sure. The auction said that it was made of Iron. Do you know anything about it? Is It real or a fake?
I Bought it this past weekend. They are going to ship it today, so I really am going on the pics.
I'm not very experienced with armour like this, though if it was real it looks like some sort of late parade armour, maybe. Did they mention what year/time period or country it was from? That would probably help a lot of people here who know more than I do.
Looks to be one of the cast iron wall hangers that were popular for decorating halls and foyers in the 19th century. The rivets around the bottom flange don't seem to be seperate but one piece with the breast plate. Are there any pics of the back?
No pics of the back. I only have them of the front.
The auction add said that it weighs 13 pounds, 20 inches long and 15 inches wide.
At 13 pounds and the odd angle of the fauld i agree with Allen, looks like it was made to lay flat against the wall but if from the 19th c it is an anttque. Period armour is becoming extremely difficult to find.
I was thinking 19th century. It is more likely to be a wall ornament rather than body armour.
