I received my copy of 2,500 years of European Helmets by Howard M Curtis today. I immediately opened the package and paged through the book as this just couldn’t wait until I got home!

A piece of paper fell to the floor as I excitedly flipped from helm to helm. I couldn’t believe what I found, the Memoriam from Mr. Curtis’ funeral service! The previous owner of this copy must have been a friend or acquaintance of his.

I’ve attached a copy of the Memoriam as the back page contains some very interesting biographical information.

Thanks for attaching this. It's nice to see. That's a great book, isn't it? One of my all-time favorites.

At first glance, it's everything that was promised in Nathan Robinson's, Russ Thomas' and your reviews in the myArmoury bookstore. :cool:

I'll provide a review of my own once I can spend several quality hours tonight with a glass of scotch, my pipe and this wonderful book. :D
