I was checking out the Albion catalog that was packed in the sword box: on page 44-45 is an illustration of "Oakeshott's Typology of the Medieval Sword"
I'm very interested in the illustration of the XVIIIc as well as the very last sword, the large XXII
I hope Albion reproduces those swords. Does anyone have a similar XVIIIc or XXII?

I am unaware of anyone that makes an XVIIIc at the moment Chris. Though I believe some will say that A&A's Schloss Erbach (sp?) sword could be considered one. As for the Type XXII I have no idea.
The reason I have an idea, albeit a small one, about the XVIIIc is that I would not mind getting one for myself at some point. Though a good XVIa would work for me as well.
I wish I could tell you more but that is all I have. Hopefully more knowledgeable members will chime in as I am interested as well.

Here are some pictures of the Albion catalog with Peter J's Illustrations. I sent a request into Mike and Peter hoping they fullfill the XVIIIc and the XXII illustrations... Considering they are Peter J's Illustrations and in the Albion Catalog, I think there is a good chance they will come to fruition.
If you could do us all a favor, and if you also have an interest, it would be greatly appreciated if you would show your enthusiasm by emailing Albion and making a request. Mike keeps track of all requests, and if there is enough demand, I know that will motivate them:
Please email Mike or "Albion" and request that they please go forward with the XXII and the XVIIIc illustrations in the Albion Swords catalog. This would also be a good time to make any other requests you might have:

I let Albion know of my interest in an XVIIIc some time ago, an interest that was triggered by two of Peter's custom swords.
I posted pictures of one of them Chris in the thread where you were asking people about their favourite 2 handed swords.
If they do make an XVIIIc of those proportions then it is going to be a monster. It is as long as the XVIIIb next to it which became the Regent, except with a much broader blade.

Exactly. I think it is beautiful as well :)
The same with the XXII.... which looks even broader!! Very elegant and powerful, I love it....
Thank-you!
If they came out with the blades (for the XVIIIc and XXII) in those proportions, that would be so very desireable....
My goal was to select another round of 7 swords (to get one free).
So far the definite for round 2 (swords 8-14):
1) Markgraff with half wire grip
2) Oakeshott or Chevalier
3) XVIIIc on page 45 of Albion catalog (very exciting)
4) The tall and wide XXII on page 45 of Albion catalog (very exciting)
I still would need 3 others... and that is even if the XVIIIc and XXII come to fruition. Since all 6 have to be bought within one year, I'm going to have to wait until there are another batch of 7 that I actually desire. I hope there are more museum level detail swords as well. I think the buy 6 get a seventh free is a nice program.
Here is to hoping that Albion and Peter add these two swords to their list... These two are on my must have.
I'm happy people are getting the Vigil, but wow, I have totally got to have Peter's rendition of these two swords. I did get the Chevalier a few weeks ago. I think it is safe to say Albion has covered the X very thoroughly :)
The Illustrations of the XXII and the XVIIIc are perfect and should just go right on to the website for pre-order!!!

I preordered mine today:
Peter Johnsson's concept art for the Principe:

The other XVIIIc option is:
Peter's concept sketch of the Alexandria XVIIIc:

They are both very nice, but I chose the Principe.
Looking forward to the XXII as well!!
