Hi!

It looks like my preceding posting of the two pics came out pretty good. Therefore, I am sharing with you another two pics, one of Lee Van Cleef as a Ninjutsu Master from the Master series, and the other of Donnie Yen from Highlander:Endgame. Please feel free to share with me any opinions you have.

Thanks,
Jason Cheng

A replacement for the first one (U.R.L. links expired):
Harry Hamlin as Perseus with Medusa's head in the 1981 movie Clash of the Titans.

Third is Michael Praed as Robin Hood from Robin Of Sherwood with Albion (one of the seven swords of Wayland, charged with the powers of Light and Darkness ... Albion, Elidor, Morax, Orias, Solas, Balef and Flourous) ....

It's nice to see this one posted here. This was very influential on the early patr of my sword collecting "habit" :)

I think those last two are supposed to be Beleth and Flauros though, if I'm not mistaken. There's probably multiple spellings though.
Gregory Peck as Horatio Hornblower
Quotes:From Captain Horatio Hornblower R.N. (1951)
'' Lt. William Bush: It is the captain's wish, Your Ladyship, that from now on you and your maid remain below.
Lady Barbara Wellesley: [to Hornblower] Can two women really be so distracting, Captain?
Capt. Horatio Hornblower, R.N: May I remind you that my men have been continously at sea for eight months?
Lady Barbara Wellesley: [as Hornblower begins to walk away] Oh, Captain!
[He stops and turns to her]
Lady Barbara Wellesley: And how long have you been at sea?
Capt. Horatio Hornblower, R.N: [Hornblower turns to walk away, stops, and clears his throat] Ha-Hmmm!
[He continues to walk away] ''

Greetings all and thanks for such a visually enjoyable sight. HH is my favorite contribution to this subject and Gregory Peck was Horatio himself to me from some of my earliest memories watching the old black and white TV on a saturday afternoon and has stayed with me through all the years of reading and re-reading his books. Even though the movie had some time-period and Hollywood related inherent flaws, I still think Peck did a fine job of protraying the character. The sword is there even if it is not a featured element to the methods and means of the sailor. As for Lady Barbara, well, sometimes the sword is just not very useful. :)

Just tripped over this image and was wondering if anyone knows who the actors are or what movie this is from?

That's from The Last Legion, http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0462396/. That's Aishwarya Rai in front, Colin Firth behind her. Saw this not too long ago, and I thought it a better Arthur movie than its IMDB rating would suggest.

Ronnie James Dio (I could not find a still from the "Holy Diver" video):

Dr. House with an extremely crappy sword in episode Knight Fall in the 6th season. The episode itself is pretty nice, involving a renaissance recreation group and their tournaments etc.

Re: Justin Hawkins, of The Darkness.

Mystery solved! Often wondered why he sang with such a lisp...

Sonny Chiba as Hanzō Hattori the Iga Ninja in the 1980 TV series Hattori, Hanzō: Kage no Gundan [Hanzō Hattori : Shadow Army] .

The series was followed by Kage no Gundan II (1981), Kage no Gundan III (1982), Kage no Gundan IV: Bakumatsu Hen (1985) and Shin Kage no Gundan (2003), all featuring Sonny Chiba as a different ninja.

Hiroshi Fujioka as Yoshimitsu, a samurai frozen in ice and revived 400 years later in Ghost Warrior (1986). An American made movie, but Hiroshi Fujioka doesn't as far as I know speak English, his character speaks only in old Japanese and there are no English subtitles.

Hiroshi Fujioka is best known as Takeshi Hongo, the cyborg warrior Kamen Raidâ [Masked Rider] (1971).

Now we know why, if Star Wars is setted a long time ago, there isn't any trace left of the Repubblic or of the Empire.
