Hi everyone ,
I am kind of new at the sheath / scabbard making thing and am curious how you all get the leather ( if its wrapped ) to line up on the backside of the sheath ? So far the carving of the wood has been pretty easy ( first one was out of yellow pine for a butchers knife , second out of poplar for a coustille dagger from Museums Replicas ) .
I had some old buckskin around and decided to try and wrap the buthcers knife one and am sorry to say that the seem ended up running along the side at the tip ( other that that part it looks ok ) . Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated .
