Hi All.I need help with getting info on this picture.I am interested in the figure in the red border.To be more specific country of origin.Maybe a more specific date if possable.And is it genuine or artistic license at work.

The drawings are by Auguste Racinet and were published in 1888 in Le Costume historique. They represent the state of the art at the time...
Off the top of my head, the particular one you are interested in is a Carolingian knight, but I'd have to check.

I have seen this style called frankish, carolingian, 9th century.
