I am new to the site and wanted to introduce a link to my family blog that features some period weapons.

Thanks.
The first "blunderbuss" you show is actually a grenade launcher. It could throw a tennis ball sized hand grenade about 100 yards or so and was much used in seiges and in naval warfare, The second could be a blunderbuss but also may be a grenade launcher as well since the barrell is almost too large.
Both are grenade launchers I would think. Barrel is just too short.

I have started collecting and shooting pre- 20th century pistols and rifles. Its a lot of fun. The weapons are cheap to buy and cheap to shoot. They don't require any federal paperwork to purchase. You buy them as easy as you buy swords.
This site has some nice bargains on Flintlock and Cap pistols including blunderbus.

Cabela's has the best deals on civil war ball and cap revolvers.
