Reichsschwert, St. Maurice in Vienna.
I'm doing my small database for a few swords.
Unfortunately encounter difficulties in establishing the section.
I need same information regard the "Reichsschwert" the sword of St. Maurice in Vienna.
The sword is a Oakeshott XI. The section should be lenticular, but from the pictures I do not understand.
In all the photos and to the tip that confuses me.
Does anyone know for sure his section?
Your help is appreciated.

Huuum.... Vienna...

Is it a eye's trick or this one look.... long?
This sword as almost all swords of this era has a lenticular tip section.
This article has some good information including pics of a reproduction based on hands-on documentation.

I hope this helps,
Dan
Thanks Dan,
but I had already read the article, the section is not mentioned. In his book, Dr. Manouchehr cites the section in mid-blade around, I don't have this book, but my german friend say so. There is even a drawing the section.
It's possible I'm wrong.
This is a sword XI a little particular, (fuller for example). Since a photo is difficult to judge well. But if a section is lenticular should not show corners. A section of diamond may be rounded to make it look like a lenticular . Even a hex can be rounded to make it look like a lenticular .
A section lenticular pure, it is more difficult to make, this is sure, but appears with cleaner forms.
I post, here, some photos that help explain better.
Ciao
Maurizio
