That mark on the blade is so prominent it must mean something. Maybe a Christian symbol of some sort. Can't tell. The blade looks to me like it's diamond section but with a flat surface in its upper fourth, making that section hexagonal. I see lots of blades like this in the artwork of this period/culture. It's hard to tell if that's a flat or a fuller, but I tend to think it's a flat.
It looks like a type XX with twin fullers in the ricasso.
