Hello,

We are having a fight night at the Salle here in Anchorage, Alaska tomorrow night. We'll be streaming it live on the web, and have an open chat room for discussion. First fight will be two advanced students in German Longsword. The following fights will be students with only 7 weeks training, crossing for the very first time. After that will be an open challenge for any students, instructors, or visitors from the other group in town.

The time of the broadcast will be 6:30pm Pacific Time.

This will be the first of many broadcasts of our fights. Enjoy!

Well, it's a neat idea, but the downtime between sparring matches is a problem -- if I do something else while I'm waiting, I risk missing the fight.

If you compile footage of just the fights and put it up on YouTube, I'll gladly take a look.

Yes, down time is an issue. But we're working on improving that by having the next fighters getting ready to go on while the others are in the middle of it. I may be bringing in another stream as well. We'll see how it morphs. The evening was recorded and will be posted on youtube, but most likely vimeo. I'll most the link when that happens. Thanks for all that watched. Next fight night broadcast will be next month, it'll be a whole mix of skill levels and fight styles, rather than the majority being begining students.
