Does anybody know anything about this pattern of French bayonet. It belongs to someone at work and they wish to know more about it. Model, make and possible value. The usual. Thanks in advance.

Both the bayonet and the scabbard have the same number 99646.
Hi Colin!
This seems to be the French Model 1874 "Gras" Sword Bayonet as described on this page:
http://arms2armor.com/Bayonets/fren1874.htm
As written on the blade this particular example was manufactured in the French city of Tulle in July 1878 ("Mre d'Armes de Tulle Juillet 1878", Mre stands for manufacture).
Searching on the web for this model should bring some more information about value... First price I've found was $185 here.
Regards,
