Hello myArmoury Community!
I would like to share with everyone my latest project. This is my own personal sword, in which I decided to turn into a family sword. In doing so I'm starting a tradition of passing the sword down to my first born son when he starts his own family.
The scabbard features wool strips, custom two-tone coloring, and the family name inscribed just above the chape amongst the tooling. All the decor is aged, with a intentional but subtle aging of the scabbard all around.
It is also the first time I've attempted a double-wrap belt integral suspension system. The top half sits higher on the waist tight, while the lower half rests loose on the hip. This allows for a quick draw system, and allows the wearer to relax the scabbard at an angle in order to sit down if need be. It's my personal favorite.

Holy Smoke! Gasp! That is a true work of art and something deserving of being a family heirloom. Just magnificent!
Wow, Brian.... makes me seriously think about sending my Svante along like yesterday!! I am impressed by all your work!

 If there were a drool smiley I would have used that. Truly stupendous work Brian. I know you say that you strive to better your last scabbard with each new one but I am unsure how you will do that after posting this one. A truly worthy scabbard for not only a great sword but for a great purpose as well.

That is gorgeous.
Now I REALLY can't wait to send you my Munich. I love the detail at the throat and well, just about everywhere else. Great job man.
Thank you everyone for the kind words.
My updates on the "workbench" have been a little slow of late. But never-the-less, I'm working the same pace I always do.
I've got a Solingen on tap next with some pictures to come.

Brian, this is remarkable work. I've said this to you before and I'll say it again: it's great to see you progress through your craft. Each piece shows fantastic improvements and becomes my new favorite.
This is very impressive work Brian, you seem to have progressed remarkably in a short period of time. I love you balance of function and aesthetic.
Hmmmmm...............................a discussion concerning my incoming Vigil may be in order. :D

Thank you Nathan. There is always something new to do, and new to learn with a scabbard ;)

Ah yes, the Vigil. I've been thinking about ordering one of those myself. I've got all these choices and so many wonderful swords to choose from, and then Albion introduces another one...

Well, that would certainly be a good sales technique as I wouldn't have to send you my sword. ;)

Is that suggesting to say you would order a scabbard from me if I order a Vigil? :D

Well, I've ordered one already anyway because I wanted one. So consider it!

You're a good man, and I certainly am!
How good's your woodwork? If I were to acquire, say one of Neil Burridge's Ewart Parks, could you do a wooden scabbard?
