The blade itself was made by a very talented swordsmith who I'm sorry to say I'm not going to name. I don't in any way want to take credit for his work or not give hm credit where its richly due but he stated to me when he agreed to make the blade for me that he didnt want to get into the habit of making the blades for other peoples work nd this was a one off for me which I feel pretty houred about. Out of respect for this I'm not going to mention his name so he doesn't have to deal with e-mails from people who got here via search engines and don't read posts properly ;) But he is a member so he can make himself known if he wants. The rest is my work
The sword is 95cms long, the guard is 22 1/2 cms wide The pommel has a diameter of about 5 cms and its 5 1/2 cms deep. It has a silver collar which is made from a recycled silver perfume bottle as is the pommel nut. The pommel is made from reconsituted rock crystal (which is crystal made from the melted dust of raw rock crystal, a previous attempted at carving the pommel had failed partly due to the flawed nature of the natural state gem and naturally flawless crystal is prohibitively expensive for me) the collar is gilded on the inside as is the tang. The guard was ground from a cold steel throwing torpedo, never again lol .
The scabbard is wood cored with a oiled felt lineing, the cover is velvet sewn and then pulled over the core and the decorations are silver.

Very nice job on a not often seen hilt set up,
i know there are a few in museums but very few in the more modern market,
Well done in getting it all finished up and well done for taking on such a hilt project yourself,
far from easy and a pretty involving project,
you done real good :cool: and compliment the blade very well. ;)

I think Pavel Moc is about the only other person whos made a CPS relatively recently which is a mixed blessing. On one hand advice is a bit thin on the ground but on the other theres nobody to tell you your doing it wrong :p Any idea which museums have examples Lee ? Image searches tend to bring this place up a lot.
