Does anyone know where there's a better picture of this sword or an historical example? I can bring out more detail in this picture but I'm hoping to find a better example.
Also, what time period and place would it be from? I believe it's 15th century German but I'm often wrong.

That looks very much like the new Albion Svante Nilsson sword.

The pommels are similar but I don't see the guard as being s-shaped in the picture I posted. When I look at it I see a downturned guard with a short upturn at the end.
I think this picture is a closer match to the pommel.
