It would look brilliant with bronze pommel. But it still looks great. Just the recess on the pommel should be a little "sharper" in my opinion. Other than that, no complaints. :)

I don't think I've seen anything like the grip before either; it's great to see Albion offering more variety in grips. I'm also definitely a fan of rivets int he grip.

I love it! I would say: Now that is a knightly sword. Imagine the scabbad and belt that could be made to go with it.

This type of grip results very familiar for me, and for any person interested in medieval swords in Spain ;) .

There are some pics (sorry for the poor quality) of the "Santa Casilda" sword, a XIII century sacred sword exposed today in the Instituto del Conde de Valencia de Don Juan, in Madrid.

Not seen in the pics, but the cross and pommel are made in bronze.

I think I had heard that the guard was going to be changed, and I have to admit that I was a little disappointed. Foolish me! The whole sword is beautiful, but the guard alone makes me want this sword.

P.S. Albion, please consider putting that guard on other models (say the type XIII that I keep pestering you about). :D

The guard is actually my favorite part. With the fancy pommel and the ornate grip, I think "simplifying" the guard from the one with the cut-owns shown in the drawing to the final one was a good call. The final guard looks to be more complex in terms of geometry/shaping, but not in details. I really like the decision.
