Who makes this Messer?
I've seen this image around and was wondering if anyone knew who actually manufactures this particular messer and if anyone has one, and what their opinion of it is?
On one site that has it for sale the dimensions are listed as:
Overal length = 73 cm
Blade length = 57 cm
Guard width = 16x5 cm
Weight = 1.3kg
Thanks
Chris

Yes, the firm on the link given still offers the messer. I just noticed the weight, I think 1.3 kg is too heavy - maybe because of a thick blade and blunt "safe edge". On site they state Rockwell hardness of 46-48 which is a little soft.

I just got a huge shipment in from outfit4 events. Most items are a great deal for the price... Shipping hurts the good deal a bit though, but still a great value. Their maces and flails, and percussive weapons are great. Some of the swords are great for the price as well. I have a few pole weapons coming from them shortly. O4events communicates very well, very timely and responsive. I did get a couple duds from them that were not as described. While they would take them back for a full refund, the shipping cost is almost the refund cost... 95% of the items I received from them were still a great bang for the buck. I just hope the pole weapons are of decent quality... I had to spend $300+ in shipping for 3 pole weapons....
In any case, I highly recommend outfit4events...

my trainer in european martial arts has one of these langes messer they are quit heavy. but it felt right i think it is a very nice messer i would like one of them. unfortuantly i haven't had the chance to train with the langes messer yet so wil have to wait.
next time i see him i will ask him what he thinks about it as a sparring and fighting weapon.
