Looks pretty in the picture at least.
Congrat's Lee,
Hows it handle?
Looks pretty sweet,
:D
i haven't had much of a chance to have a go at cutting with it yet, buts its very well balanced and doesn't feel as blade heavy as some type XII i have handled
You can find a review of my copy of that sword here:

http://www.myArmoury.com/review_ck_xii.html

It would be interesting to see how the two compare.
Lee,
Hey Russ,
Had'nt forgot your reveiw ,
it was more a case of different people sort of thing,
I do like the look of the sword,it was actually this specific model that had me pestering Rob first time around,
but in 01/02 he was pretty backed up for quite some time,so by 03 i was keener on the irish ringhilt,
But there's always another time :D
Absolutely! Lee W. may very well have a different take on things, some things on his might be different (I personally want to know what he thinks of the handle wrap) Sorry, I sure didn't mean to hint that my review was the end all and be all on the subject because it is NOT. :)
hey russ regarding the wire on the grip mine worked loose exactly like yours, maybe its something to do with the scorching hot weather we had in the UK.Anyway im still dead chuffed with the sword

if you are still after a castle keep sword give him a call he did mine in less than 6 weeks. so maybe he isnt that busy at the moment.

"Never give a sword to a man who can't sing"
Confused
Hmmm I think I'm going to talk to Rob a bit and see if I can talk him into wrapping those things a bit tighter, either that or he needs to be using some stabalized wood or something. You are right though, his swords are REALLY nice. I've got the type XII and a baskethilt as well and they are both outstanding pieces of work. I'm about to get something else from him that should prove to be VERY interesting.
Hi Lee,
Yep as we speak i've been finalising details with Rob,
Or should i say pestering  ,
pretty untraditional so i'm just awaiting to see if he's keen,if not it'll be plan B,
My sword pictured underneath by Rob,
Any excuse ;)
Hey Russ,
Alway's good speaking with you, nope i knew what you meant, all hand made so plenty of room for differences,
Any clues as to what you have arriving or cloak and dagger till receipt :D
Also your gonna have to make some free time for the promised basket review or mail it this way and i'll review it and send it back some time next centu,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Hi M,
Confusing myself most of the time :D

Ringhiltpic my sword,by Rob Miller,.jpg

I think it's okay with Rob if I mention it. If not he can beat me up later. :) He's sending me a couple of his "they are NOT ranger swords" for finishing before forwarding them to their owners. I'm very excited not the least because they won't be in the traditional colors. Also they will give me the chance to try out some new very neat things on the scabbards themselves.
Drat, forgot to ask, how was the wrap on your Irish sword?
Verrry nice. He does good work!

I have a request for a claymore in there, somewhere... he's a busy guy, but I'm patient :)
Very cool I would love to see one of those beasts... hmmm :)

hey russ you know the ranger sword you were talking about is it one of the ones in his makeing of videos on his site?
That's the rumor... :) But they really aren't ranger swords...
Just came from checking Rob's news page and lo and behold two rather sweet looking rangeresque swords,
etched blades,different colours,
very cool,
Russ,
The ringhilt handle is ebony with a silver wire running through, slightly recessed for a flush fit,
pretty solid and nicely done, the ends of the wire returned into the inner portion of the handle, all slightly recessed to prevent any snagging on takedown,on close inspection,i think i would have to literally depick the wire to remove it,
WOw what a pair of gorgeous longswords.that rob is one tallented guy.
shame i havent got the money for one.
