Well I took the plunge....again....
Had a tad bit of funds left over from the tax refund, so I acted on this before something around the house blew up, broke down and other means of sucking the life out of the money.
Had been looking over this one for a good while and just jump in....I got a Windlass 15th c. longsword from Kult of Athena...at a good price. Great people to deal with and excellent packing job on the shipping carton.
got it last evening and the weather has been sucky today so I have had a good chance to get out and give a test run.
Hopefully it will stop raining long enough to take it out.
So thought I'd snap a few photos of it along with a couple others in my collection....
Cheers
Auf Wiedersehen,
Bill

It looks right at home next to your other swords!
Thanks for reminding me that I need to take care of my taxes... maybe I'll get some sword money from the government as well...

I once had one of those...a bit more flex to it than I prefer but all in all nice enough for the price.
It looks good, Bill! You have a nice-looking home, too! :) Can't wait to hear about how it performs for you.

Hoping for better weather tomorrow.......

I've always liked that sword, I like hand and a half swords. Glad to see someone has one who can give a review of it. Ihave the old MRL swept hilt german basterd sword. Its one of my favorites.
Today looks better weather wise, so I'll be able to get out and give 'er a go.

Well...I'm rather pleased and impressed with how this sword handles so far.
Even though I ordered it un-sharpened, there was no trouble in cutting 6 water filled jugs cleanly. (one at a time of course)
A good solid 1/2 hr of doing drills with it made for a decent workout and it handled nicely. It has a little blade presence with a POB of 4 1/4" on the 36 1/2" blade. I found the flex to be quite to my personal liking and reacted good when doing "Stechen" against my duct-tape/carpet covered pell.
Excited to become more acquinted with this sword over time. For the price ....think it was a grand purchase overall.
