Recently finished rondel dagger inspired by swedish originals from mid and late 15th cen. Shallowly hollowground four-edged blade. Grip construction with thick tang and shaped sheet-metal over a wooden base, method based on finds from Glimmingehus, Skåne. Light and sturdy.
Length 41,5cm, blade length 29cm. Weight 350g.
The dagger is for hi-fi reenactment use, finish made to match arms for war late 15th cen.

Yes thats right, i did not want to make it from sheet metal as seen in some originals, the blade on this one is bigger then the daggers ive seen with a sheet metal rondel, so i wanted a solid to balance the blade.

Regarding the Museum link : my Swedish not being what it never rally used to be, is there a way to display the other items they have ?

If you go to "föremål" and "lista sakord" you might be able to guess your way to some items, but this search engine can be a bit arduous to use, even for a swedish-speaking person..
