Well, my timing kind of stinks. I had hoped to get this one reviewed for Nathan and company before they posted their articles on rondel daggers which I note that they have posted today. One thing and another lead to production delays both for Tod and for me having the money, so I didn't quite make it. However, since it's the topic dejure at the moment perhaps it's okay anyway.
As many of you probably know I've been fairly interested in rondel daggers for a couple of years or so myself. I find the myriad solutions to the problem of making an extremely stiff heavy dagger to be absolutely fascinating. You could probably figure that out from the reviews anyway. :) My latest rondel from Tod's Stuff has come in, and if I might say so Tod really out did himself this time. I intend to write a full review of this piece of course, but for the moment I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. Let's see if you can guess which one is the new addition...

Russ,
I'm sure we'll post more dagger reviews in the future. In fact, I'm sure of it. :)
So, feel free to send it on to us when the review is ready.
Nice looking dagger, by the way. :)

Thanks Chad! I have to admit that the dagger you have reviewed made me break that commandment about coveting... :)
Very nice set! I have a love for rondels as well.
This is one I made some years back.

Very nice Gary! I remember seeing it posted a while back. Remind me, where did you get the blade from?

It's a standard blade ordered through Atlanta Cutlery.

I did the bronze rondels and I had a friend turn the Cocobolo handle for me. Took a bit to polish it all up and put it together.

That's funny. I was just thinking yesterday about possibly mounting an Atlanta Cutlery Arkansas Toothpick blade as a rondel dagger, and was going to come on here and ask if it was stiff enough, and not too anachronistic in shape. Yours looks nice, so maybe I'll go ahead with it.

It's stiff enuff! One I made went clean through a wood picnic table at a local park.

Oh, good :D
After New Years I may have a go at putting one of these together.
